Arsis Handbell Ensemble China Concert Tour (Hong Kong)

  2. The Handbell Association of HK welcomes the world renowned Arsis Handbell Ensemble to debut a concert on November 10, 2014.
    Arsis Handbell Ensemble, which developed from the chamber choir Arsis in 1993, consists of eight professional players, under the leadership of their Artistic Director Aivar Mäe, performs on one of the most perfect sets in the world, which includes 7+4 octave sets of handbells and 7 octave set of handchimes. The ensemble has toured in different places of the world – South Africa, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, England, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Canada, Belgium, USA, Portugal, Poland and Holland, and has given concerts at the renowned St. Petersburg Philharmonic Grand Hall in Russia, Oslo Concert Hall and El Pardo Palace in Madrid.
    Arsis plays mostly arrangements of classical music and also a lot of original music written by Estonian composers. Seven CDs have been released by now. This November the ensemble is invited to perform at the ‘Baltic Music Festival’ at Shanghai City Theatre as well as Beijing, Jinan, Xuzhou, Guangzhou and make its final stop in Hong Kong.
